Continuous Hopping with a Raspberry Pi 3

Automation in Moderation Brewing beer is an art that requires skill and experience. Our goal is to provide tools to enhance those skills, rather than replace them. The idea isn’t to automate every process, but help the brewer brew a better beer by providing them with more measurements and insight into each step. Why Automated Hopping? Some IPAs require continuous hopping during the boil. For 5 - 6 gallon batches, and you have between 5 - 10oz of hops, this means tossing a pellet into the boil every few seconds.

Wisner Brewhaus

Wisner Brewhaus We make beer. It’s really not that hard, and we’re not particularly better at it than most people, but it’s fun and we enjoy reaping the rewards. Types of Beer We’ve brewed several American IPAs, an Amber Ale, a Brown Ale, a Stout, a Farmhouse Pumpkin Ale and a Christmas Ale. All in all about 13 batches of beer, to date. Where We’re Headed It costs about $4M to start a brewery, so we won’t be starting one any time soon.
